Stacey's Place

Kids of all ages flock to Stacey’s Place, Pennsylvania Chautauqua’s Playground located on Pennsylvania Avenue. From dawn to dusk, energetic children can be found on the Merry-Go-Round, Climbing Rock, Jungle Gym, Swings or playing Tether Ball. The basketball court tends to see more action by teenagers or adults pretending to act years younger.
More “sedentary kids” gravitate to the popular Bench Swing, the Gazebo and of course the shade.
In May of 2016 the playground was dedicated and named Stacey’s Place in memory of Stacey Pennington who for years demonstrated her love and devotion to young people by organizing the Kids’ Art Section of the annual Mount Gretna Art Show. Stacey’s joy and enthusiasm is reflected by the hundreds of smiling faces who enjoy this delightful setting.
